Would you consider estate grey a dark charcoal grey? I am considering estate grey, slatestone grey and onyx black. The roof in this picture appears dark but when I drove by a house today it appeared rather light. I have a cream house with black shutters and a black door. Which one will work best?

I don't know the other colors by name but I typically prefer a dark grey over black. CertainTeed landmark has a Moire Black I like that's darker than estate grey without being completely black.

Morie is lighter than Charcoal. Charcoal is a flat jet black no variation in color. Morie looks better 95% of the time

Gary - we just put in the Moire Black and it looks very nice. We were having a hard time choosing between black and gray and the Moire Black is a great compromise - it doesn't read like a jet black but more like a very dark gray. We're planning to paint the house a medium gray but I think it would go well with a lot of paint colors.

Any dark brown would work, or you could paint the wood dark to match the trim like this house and go with any color you want. Paint companies can also make semitransparent stains out of most colors.

I love these colors. Thanks for providing the brick (Wool Skein) and trim colors (Zinc by Pratt and Lambert). It appears that there is a secondary trim color that is a bit darker. If so, would you mind sharing it as well? Thanks so much!
