Did you ever find out about these balusters? I am curious if they are 1/2" solid round - perhaps LJ Smith? Also curious if they are oil rubbed bronze. If you have any insight, I'd love to know. Thanks!

I never did find out what was used in the picture. I did end up ordering solid round double Victorian balusters from balusters2go.com. Excellent service. They arrived quickly via FedEx. Very reasonable prices too. Hope that helps!

stain - Hi there, I am refinishing my oak stairs and was wondering what color stain you used. It is really nice and I don't have a lot of money to make mistakes with the stain. Thanks if you can help me. :o)

4. STAIRS - traditional newel post/rail with iron balusters D/A: like this look [DR: I like this too, but see that post (light) needs to end on light tread and not extend to dark floor.]
