I love the idea of a covered deck that's dressed up with drapery and furniture borrowed from inside. But this room also gets me with the hanging lanterns - they're perfect in the space and look like a party waiting to happen.

Curtains add a layer of formality to an outdoor space - they're a quick way to bring indoor elements out. I love this outdoor room - and I can imagine closing the curtains in the evenings to keep noise in and (hopefully) bugs out.
