Hi Sean, it is a Camellia japonica that is well established. You can remove the lower branches as they grow and get a small tree.

The cubby house is 2m x 2m excluding the front porch deck and is approximately 2.5m tall from ground level. It's always best to check your local Council regulations for any restrictions on size and location for a cubby house.

Hi Jellyfish Queen, it's a great bespoke cubby that was designed and built to match the style of the house. Finished with hardwood decking and wall cladding complete with stainless steel downlight on the front porch. The total cost supplied and installed was around AUD$6,000 - 7,000.

Hi cindycoppa, as a minimum I would make the distance from the hook to the cubby wall at least 80% of the distance from the underside of the beam to bottom of the tire.

The walls are timber framing with blueboard (cement sheet cladding) and painted. The blueboard can also be rendered.

Hi Stephanie, the ground cover under the tire swing is mulch. Depending on where you are you can get Softfall mulch (or playground mulch) that is designed for playgrounds, and as the name suggests, is softer to fall on.

This was a custom designed and built play house. We designed it to match with the architecture of the house. It even has a matching wall light on the front.
