How high is the ceiling? Would you paint walls trim and ceiling all same color with 8ft ceilings? The room is beautiful and easy feeling.

These are 10’ ceilings. You can absolutely do the same scheme for 8’ ceilings. Just switch up the finishes, for example eggshell walls, semi gloss trim, flat ceiling.

Thanks so much! I just bought a home with 8' walls with crown molding and like the idea of painting the molding the same as the wall to create the illusion of height. Are the walls flat?

The bedside chests are antique so they are one-of-a-kind pieces.

What Houzz contributors are saying:
Julia Pockett added this to Accessorizing in Style: Traditional Bedrooms
7. Above-the-bed artwork. Without a huge, ornate headboard or an architectural feature, chances are you will need something above your bed. Pictures are wonderful, but be sure they are themed. I like perfectly spaced symmetrical arrangements (rows of three work really well), which fit with traditional styling perfectly. Random shapes, sizes and frame types also can look good, especially if you are going for a more rustic feel, but they're harder to get right. Just be sure to keep with a theme and keep the spacing equal.
Laura Gaskill added this to Budget Decorator: 12 Vintage Finds to Take Home This Spring
5. Pressed flowers. Sure, you can press your own flowers and frame them, but there is something romantic about discovering pressed blooms from another time. Look for specimens with handwritten details noting the plant name or place of origin.
