A Good Chick To Know
We used a variety of lamps to light the space - we usually opt for a brighter wattage clear globe bulb and put them on a cord dimmer. It allows for bright light when desired, but still offers softer mood lighting while sitting in the room. I think this room had the one table lamp and the arc lamp (both shown) as well as another up-lit floor lamp.

Thank you very much. The client wanted to have the large tv in the main living room, so we were looking for a way to "hide" it so that it didn't seem overwhelming in the space. The black on black wallpaper did the trick perfectly. I think that many wallpaper companies are now offering similar papers, so there are lots of options!

Double-Duty FurnitureLet's face it: To a child, that upholstered ottoman is a launching area, and those round poufs are landing pads. Furniture that can take a beating and still look decent is a great way to design for kids and grownups. Basically anything you can flop onto will work.
