Just a thought, one way to possibly do something like this unless these are long custom glass pieces inserted is to insert a certain length of PVC pipe in the wall hole leave just enough to allow cut ends off wine bottles to be inserted and then glued flush so glass end inserts are seen on both sides then fill & touch up around ends.
