Scores for contractors, remodelers and design-build firms remain steady. General contractors and remodeling firms scored a second-quarter barometer reading of 75, while design-build firms came in at 73. These scores indicate strong optimism among these sectors during the second quarter of this year, and the readings are in line with those for the same period in 2016. On a regional basis, the readings for design-build firms rose year over year in both the South and the West.
