Try contacting a local upholstery shop. I'm sure you can have this headboard replicated.

We have carpeting in our bedroom. What do you suggest the two mantles be made of?

All of the mantels we use are wood. Typically reclaimed beam, usually made of fir or spruce. Or if want a more formal look, our traditional mantels are usually done in alder or cherry wood

what is the standard distance for fireplace to bed ?

There isn't a standard distance since most bedrooms don't have fireplaces...
...but you should allow at least 36" for a walkway and heat dispersion - regardless if it's a woodburning, gas or electric fireplace.

Good answer from bepsf . A comfortable distance is probably more the key to the arrangement, as well as the viewing height, which works better slightly raised in a bedroom to be able to view the fire, as in the photo above (unless you have a very traditional design, which doesn't work as well with raised fireplaces).

Additionally, some gas fireplaces require a specific clearance to furniture, drapes, etc., which is (coincidentally) usually about 36" or less.

In this picture it looks like they used the mantle and didn't hang it from the rock. If you can do this, even better. :)

In order to hang from the rock, you would need to utilize wall anchors especially made for stone. Usually you can get these at your local hardware store. Ask their advice as to what anchors to use. It is easier to drill into the mortar between the rocks than the actual rock.

Depends on the stone.. softer sandstone/limestone can be safely drilled with a rotary hammer and carbide masonary bit.. and then inserting an anchor, as mentioned above (and also as mentioned, any mortar will be easier, but picture centering may be harder) or use special purpose masonry screw (EG Tapcon or Spax). Harder stone esp granite will benefit greatly from a diamond dust tipped drilling bit.. This bit DOESN'T like hammering from a rotary-hammer drill) , but DOES like water spray lubrication and slow drilling speeds and pressures.

We try our best but are a full-time architecture firm and get to what we can. Sometimes we don't know the answers and sometimes we don't give information out of respect for the homeowners. We post images for design inspiration and style, not as a how-to manual.

5. Vary your lighting. Instead of flooding the whole bedroom with one bright ceiling light use individual lamps and candles in different areas of the bedroom to achieve a more dramatic, cozy and intimate mood.
Shawn Gauthier added this to Periwinkle: Playing With Blue-Violet
To me, this is quintessential periwinkle, maybe with a hint more lavender. I love the interaction between this playful shade and the brown tones in the bed and the natural wood ceiling, as well as the stone fireplace. Neutral walls would have been crisp and clean, but the cool tone of periwinkle adds instant sophistication.
