@Stanbrenda, the wonderful part of prefinished flooring like this one...you are getting a much more durable finish. The factory has much more control on the finish as compared to being finished after installation and you will enjoy much less mess. Don't forget the finished product is dependent on you having a qualified person that will do the job correctly and without damaging the finish during installation.
This hand-scraped finish is going to be a bit more forgiving with all the foot and pet traffic.

I'm sorry we don't have the information on the hood liner or where it was purchased. The hood was a custom build based on our drawings from the local cabinet shop.
