We Make It Our Home

Homeowner
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Canada
I have explored so many directions with my sense of style to figure out what really sits with my heart. The environment I am surrounded with has a great impact on my style. Currently, living in atlantic coast of Canada, I find myeslf drawn to a transitional style with some coastal design elements to infuse summer breezy feeling. I love soft furnishing , ocean hues and decorations that reflect calm and comfort. I also tend to include traditional Iranian products such as hand knotted Persian rugs or various handmade fine arts that have made my guests talking.
About me: We make ugly houses pretty. One house at a time.

We are ordinary home owners with full time day job who have a passion for old houses filled with charm and character. When we view a house to buy, we look beyond a dated shag carpet, hideous pink walls or a disgusting tub. Our hobby is to take an outdated house in a great neighborhood and turn it into our dream home. Taking a major renovation on an old house can be a daunting challenge; for us, it's a joyful journey from demolition to picking tiles and paint colors. So far, we have purchased, redesigned, remodeled and decorated four houses and the fifth one is under renovation now.
I LOVE anything design related! From interior design to fashion. Currently, I am a Houzz addict. Who needs Facebook when there is Houzz !!

Join us in our journey as we capture a visual diary of our renovations on Houzz.
