1996 Safari Continental Interior Renovation

The project began with a ratty old sofa, dirt stained carpet, damaged hardwood floors damaged cabinetry. First the cabinets were removed and sent to Davis Cabinets to be refinished. All of the furniture and flooring was removed. Next we sealed the floor, installed underlayment over the existing wood floor (extremely difficult). A large 20 flooring pattern was made up and cut from Tarkett fiberfloor and installed in one complete piece! Fiberfloor is a floating padded vinyl with wood trim around borders tightly to seal the flooring product to the underlayment. Johnsonite rubber banding was installed around the perimeter of the stepwell with a grooved fit for the vinyl to be tucked into. Fiberfloor was also installed on the side of the stepwell and stepwell cover. Carpet was than power-stretched in the living and bedroom along with the firewall and driver seat elevated platform. Johnsonite rubber stairtread with riser was installed on the entry steps (one piece each step and kick)The new Flexsteel Sofa arm had to be un-upholstered to cut a hole for air duct running from the kitchen to drivers area. Easybeds must be carriage bolted to the floor for sleeping position stability. Original Safari chairs were upholstered with matching fabric. Cabinetry was than installed. Wooden valances were designed, built and installed. Wood trim was cut, planed, stained and varnished to match cabinetry. We take pride in every RV renovation by Countryside Interiors.
