This renovation focused on integrating the patio with the kitchen to create an inviting and functional area to entertain both indoors and out, while also adding functionality to the main entry that offered little in terms of organization and storage. The kitchen was thoughtfully reconfigured to create an open, welcoming space ideal for entertaining and daily living. Existing French doors were replaced with a tri-fold window, establishing a direct pass-through for food and drinks, complemented by an outdoor bar-height countertop inviting guests to socialize while staying connected to the indoor activity. The patio layout was reconfigured and expanded while carefully preserving existing landscaping. A custom cooking island featuring durable stucco walls, built-in BBQ, ample storage, and UV-resistant quartz countertop completes this backyard retreat, perfectly suited for BBQ and celebrating with family and friends. In the main entry, the roof overhang between the garage and the front door offered an opportunity to a light-filled mudroom providing an essential landing zone for shoes, coats, and gear and bringing ease and functionality to everyday life.
