2016 Custom Home

This is a custom home for a local engineer. He was very involved in the design and feel of the space. The home features an open kitchen, dining and living space with large windows that look out to the courtyard pool.The second floor of the home has a more cottage feel and a separate lounge space for guests. Custom walnut trim and doors help complete this custom home.

The client wanted an entry with a statement. We found a pair of antique doors and had them painted and glazed to mimic doors of ancient cities. New Schlage hardware was added to ensure security of these solid doors.

We were trying to decide on a handrail that wasn't just run of the mill. The homeowner came up with this idea that marries the walnut and maple that is used throughout the home.

Wanting lots of natural light, the homeowner chose a natural walnut door with frosted glass panels. The five panel doors are reminiscent of craftsman style homes.
