2020 Front Yard Meadow

A modern home in Omaha gets a unique landscape to match its elevation. 100% native plants, some 25 species of perennial flowers, sown with little bluestem and annual flowers which serve as a living green mulch. Large sweeps of nodding onion and purple prairie clover mingle with rattlesnake master, stiff goldenrod, and round-headed bush clover for blooms from April to October. No fertilizer or supplemental watering will be needed for this drought tolerant designed meadow garden. The space was created for wildlife as well as winter interest when dead plant material becomes even more architectural. Geometric paths will be a low-mow fescue mix.
