2025 AHD Workroom Projects

At Home Design's custom drapery workroom in Rapid City, South Dakota created some memorable pieces this year including roman shades, cornices, valances, pillows, and of course, custom drapery. We also helped clients bring new life to furniture pieces with light upholstery services and custom seat cushions.

With our client's update to their home's dining room, her dining chairs needed a bit of a facelift. Using Romo x Temperely collection fabrics, our AHD Workroom added new life to our client's dining furniture set.

Our client was excited to learn we can match her new Ann Gish bedding when creating her custom faux romans in her guest room. Paired with dark green top down, bottom up duette shades from Hunter Douglas, the window treatments are a perfect pair.

Bay Window Beauty
Our client wanted drapery over her patio doors that wasn't super heavy and still let light in during the day without letting in all the heat/cold throughout the changing seasons. These custom light-filtering draperies fabricated by our onsite workroom worked perfectly.

This footstool had been in our client's family for generations. With a worn cover, our workroom reconstructed the foam and reupholstered the ottoman with a neutral cover to match whatever room our client moves it to.

Our client updated her solid drapes and gathered valance for a bit more color. This floral drapery and valance set fabricated by the AHD workroom turned out beautifully. With a little bit of fabric left over, a coordinating accent pillow was the perfect touch to the room.

A spare room in this client's home is being converted to a home theatre - and blackout drapery, blinds with a top cornice to hide as much light as possible on the large picture window was a great solution. Custom drapery length by request.
