This living room's ceiling is just over 8 feet. The light linen curtains, hung from floor to ceiling, brighten and expand the space.

The TV is an important part of the space, whether we like to admit it or not. Flat TVs on the wall free up space, and wireless technology makes installation easier and easier. We added a sleek, midcentury TV console from Pasha to display a sculpture and hide components.

The custom-made barn track door was in the space, and we loved it. Created by the artists at West End Architectural Salvage, this piece of art is a functional door to the main living space.

We installed new pendant lighting from Noir. At a more appropriate height, the glass opens up the kitchen to the rest of the living space.

A textural mix really adds to the space. The sleek glass, paired with the soft, white leather chairs and the scrap of suede is a simple addition to this dining table that's easily moved when the homeowner needs to entertain.

The hand carved bench was moved from under the television to a more functional location next to the door. An original piece of art and an antique prayer rug bring some of the character of the owner to the room.

Gold leaf adds some interesting shine and texture to nearly to which it's applied. We had an artist gold leaf these books and a real racoon skull.
