Homes Delivered

9807-24 Landers Shoot

Ok so disclosure first - This is my parents house on the Sunshine Coast, QLD and it was designed by my Dad who's been in the transportable homes industry since I was playing Lego. Well actually I still play Lego. It's a series of Transportable 'cabins' connected by verandahs which my Brother and I mostly built. Landscaped creek by me, gardens by Mum. Dad does all the crap jobs & general maintenance around the property and of course gets very little credit for it. Two of the cabins (Guest rooms) are 'used' buildings. Glendale built 50 cabins for the athletes village at the Sydney Olympics back in 2000. The cabins somehow found there way back up to Queensland and when Dad spotted them he couldn't help but ask and it turned out the owner was selling them. Now you can even stay in one as Mum's opened the place up as a bed & breakfast! The place was basically a swamp and when Mum & Dad bought it we thought might have finally lost the last of their marbles. At the start it was just a 15m x 4m cabin and we've gradually added to it over the years. Even with the extra space though it's still extremely modest by most peoples standards. They don't even have a dining space (let alone media room). Mostly because when there's people over for dinner it's normally 10 plus so we always eat outside anyway. On the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, there's really no excuse for a dining room. Anyway, let me know if you'd like to visit this one. Mum & Dad love to show people through (especially when it's helping out their number one son:-). That one's for my brother - just a little reminder.
