This jewel of a ceiling over a kitchen island was inspired by an unusual hammered copper tabletop. The kitchen's beautiful granite countertops and mosaic backsplash were also considered in this project. These ceiling were given a traditional leaf finish with a brown glaze to match the existing cabinet glaze. This ceiling was begging for something to jazz it up by its pronounced features right over the island. In the first pictures you will notice the island is the same as the cabinets. In the last picture, we came back and painted the kitchen island chocolate brown to further enhance this kitchen. The kitchen island and copper ceiling are the accessories this space needed to truly shine. Faux painting at its best.
