Accent Cabinet
This storage cabinet was designed for a front entryway room to be the first piece of furniture seen when entering the house. The cabinet and doors are rustic butternut. The outer doors operate on standard swing hinges, with the inner doors running on sliding door hardware. The top was made by cutting a slab of elm in half lengthwise and arranging the pieces to the live edges face each other. The cavity was then filled with epoxy resin that’s colored to mimic the feel of flowing water. The entire pieces has a urethane clearcoat finish.
