Accra Makeover

Set in an exclusive complex in Accra, this apartment was scheduled for a makeover at some time in the future. Things happen, we were given just 24 hours to do a makeover so that the holiday guests could enjoy their stay. It won't win any awards but we are happy with the difference in feel given the short time span, available options and limited budget. It does smell incredible though with all the diffusers placed throughout the apartment.

We started by painting the room a warmer color. We then added the painting and switched out the rug with the softer hair hide rug. We also used warmer lamps found in another room.

As you'll see from the before picture, this space was left bare. Since we were repainting anyway, we buried the unsightly cables and created a cozy corner. The only item purchased was the small painting. The chair, lamp and hair hide rugs were unused items from one of the client's other homes.

We simply showcased the towels and soaps. Added candles, bath mats and rugs and a diffuser. Wish you could smell the scent coming from this diffuser.

In this small guest bathroom, we simply added a small table for the towels, candles, soap and flowers.

In this tiny guest room we simply changed the position of the bed which changed the proportion of the room. We used the bedside lights originally in the master bedroom an added a leather throw rug which was being used in the corridor. With only 24 hours we couldn't do much more but look forward to...

We added the chair from the entry way to create a small nook beside the dressing table.
