We were contacted to design and build an outdoor kitchen and deck for the clients to enjoy their space to the fullest and to relax with full views of the beautiful hill country around them. We created a magnificent ipe deck to lounge and dine on by the pool under the shade of their large Live Oak. The space flows into a lowered gravel seating area and is surrounded by tiered steel planters. The kitchen was designed to be on the steepest part of the property with an open look to take in the dramatic views while cooking out for friends and family. The design of the landscape began with the outdoor kitchen where we erected big steel posts for the structure and roof that wraps around the fireplace. We then built the structure of the deck, being extra vigilant to not disturb the roots of the heritage live oak in the center of the space. Once completed, we finished the deck with ipe, added a lowered gravel seating area and tied everything in with the massive tiered steel planters.
