Aging In Place First Floor Transformation

The challenge of this project was to create an aging-in-place first floor environment to better accommodate the needs of the homeowner. In this particular situation, due to a medical condition, access to the second floor of the home was no longer convenient. To remedy this problem, the layout of the first floor was redesigned and expanded to create greater ease of movement throughout the space and accessibility to essentials such as the laundry and shower.
