Alamo Square Residence 2
Got a Utility room? Make it a Master Bathroom! This master bathroom was literally a hot water heater with a tiny storage space off the master bedroom. NBR came to the rescue with creativity and a "can do" attitude. NBR's team created a design allowing for not only a walk-in shower but also a soaking tub. The design was featured in the winter 2012 Fine Homebuilding Kitchen and Baths Annual edition.
The guest bathroom also needed to be gutted to the studs as well. Because it was so small and had an awkward shape (a closet protruding into the already cramped space), the NBR design team kept the style simple. The focus is white and grey and all verticle– from the floor to the ceiling. The symmetrical tiles used were shades of grey coupled with ultra white to draw attention to the true assets of the space.
