E. F. San Juan’s team provided an extensive range of custom products for the home at 285 North Somerset Street in Alys Beach. This stunning property is nestled between Lake Marilyn and the nature preserve, offering a serene and picturesque setting. The home is a quintessential example of Alys Beach architecture, showcasing the unique features that make homes in this community truly stand out.

E. F. San Juan supplied a comprehensive selection of products for this remarkable residence, including exterior windows and doors, interior doors and trim, and intricate interior details. One of the most striking features is a custom gate that frames a star design—an artistic and functional piece that was incredibly challenging to construct due to its many small panels and vented louvers. Despite the complexity, the gate has stood the test of time, serving as a stunning entrance to the pool deck.

The interior trim package is equally impressive, featuring unique details like pecky cypress box beams paired with tongue-and-groove paneling. This design extends throughout many rooms in the home, including a small bar area with a delicate box beam made of pecky cypress that adds warmth and character. The interior doors are crafted from character white oak and feature an inverse chevron panel design, adding texture and warmth to the space. The seamless transitions between rooms are achieved through pristine, TruStile doors, including a gorgeous pivot door leading into the master suite.

CHALLENGES
One of the most significant challenges on this project was constructing the custom gate, which required precision and attention to detail due to its small panels and vented louvers. Another challenge was ensuring the interior trim package was cohesive throughout the home, particularly with the intricate ceiling details featuring pecky cypress beams and tongue-and-groove paneling. These features required expert craftsmanship to execute flawlessly.
