A transitional modernistic getaway! This is a very nice couple from Chicaco. They own a jewerly store there and decided that they were going to move out here where their daughter lives so that they can be closer to their grandchildren. So, they chose Anaheim Hills as their daughter lives in Yorba Linda.
The bought the home when pricing was down and they started to rennovate the home themselves. But with so much to do and so little time...they really thought maybe they could use some help...
I met him in the coffee store very close to where the property was. He was just leaving and had mentioned to one of the coffee employees that he was meeting an electrician...I asked him if he needed a designer and he said ... yeh! Maybe...then I gave him my card and two months later he called and said...we want to work with you!
I did all of our presentations and even pricing through email and youtube. It worked out perfectly for them and once the designs were all approved...we began the work. The work took us about 4 months in total. We gutted the living and small eating area....which by the way...they did not have an eating area until we built one in for them... But, when we were finished this wonderful couple was very happy.
We have a beautiful sofa and chairs with a cocktail ottoman. An entertainment center and a beautiful fireplace. The fireplace has glass tile with down lights and up lights in the mantle. The piece of art was custom hand painted by our very own artist. The colors and undertones of the peice tie in perfectly.
the wood floor, and window treatments help make the entire room com together with the finishing touches of the accessories.
On the other side where the kitchen is there was no place to really sit down and have breakfast or lunch. So, we made a pass through bar area and had two beautiful counter stools made for them. The counter top in the kitchen and the bar area are granite and the oak cabinets were stained out dark to help out with costs.
Then once we were finished here they decided to let us do the master bedroom. They were as delighted with the bedroom as they were with the living room and eating area.
