The goal of this project, which replaced an existing summer cottage, was to work within the New England vernacular often found in the village of Annisquam: small additions and a combination of one and two story levels. The plan is designed to encourage an informal summer lifestyle, but also to serve as a year round retirement home. Local field stone was used for the fireplace; cabinetry throughout the home was built by Treehouse cabinetmakers.
