This contemporary beach house in Aptos features large-format porcelain paver walkways and patios throughout design. This active family enjoys their beach time so a shower with a foot washing station was a must. We designed a large redwood seating bench around the hot tub for cooling down. Permeable gravel pathways connect all garden elements including the high-powered custom fire table. White and purple flowering plants dominate the plant palette, which consists of primarily shade-lovers who enjoy the foggy zone of Aptos. When the kids outgrow the trampoline, we can add more fruit trees and perennials to that corner of the garden to blend with the existing planting plan.
