Arrasmith Residence
A multi-phase woodland landscape under the canopy of a hardwood forest. This project has been difficult to photograph simply due to the fact it has been under phased construction for the last five years! Enjoy some progress pics, hopefully we will get 'completed' photography in spring 2021.
An overall master plan was completed in 2015 that organized a neglected landscape and property. New plans were laid for a garage addition, retaining walls, front door experience, and organizing the entry sequence to really make this property shine from the street.
Over the last 5 years, the phases included rectifying drainage issues via grading and demolition in the back of the house, as well as a rain garden at the street to establish immediate curb appeal. Phase 2 included the bamboo grove, a rock garden, and more drainage remedies. Phase 3 included the demolition of the existing retaining walls and stairs, and installation of retaining walls that responds with the architecture of the house, and aligns with the addition of the garage. Phase 4 was going to be the koi pond and associated landscape in the back, but the client opted to build the garage addition first.
