The client envisioned a bathroom inspired by Moulin Rouge — bold, dramatic, and full of personality. After an initial design direction felt too modern and restrained, the goal shifted toward creating a space that felt expressive, glamorous, and layered.

To better understand the vision, I immersed myself in the references that inspired her — listening to the Moulin Rouge album and revisiting the film — allowing its richness, drama, and Art Deco influence to guide the design.

A striking red sink became the focal point of the space, setting the tone and leading into a vivid red bathtub that anchors the room. Brass accents and Kohler double shower heads add a sense of luxury, while finishes were selected to balance theatrical flair with everyday function.

The result is a confident, immersive bathroom that moves away from minimalism and embraces color, contrast, and character.
