Our client contacted our company to discuss a custom pool project. When visiting the site for the first time, we knew it would pose a challenge. The space we would be designing was less than 2500 s.f. and access was going to constitute a problem for our crews. On the side of the downhill neighbor was a 10' stormwater management easement, which was not be altered. Our goal was to develop a plan, which when completed would give the illusion of a much larger space. As you can see from the Before Photo, we accomplished what we had set out to do.

We added a beautiful naturalistic pool, landscaping, travertine paving, and pool coping, outdoor shower, custom porch and deck, low maintenance landscaping, and for the undesirable views we have planted a fast growing bamboo planted in a secure bamboo 60 mil EPDM containment trench. One of our other challenges was to solve the new storm water runoff, which we handled with and underground drain system, day-lighting into an underground dry-well.

The custom designed composite Fiberon Ipe deck & porch area creates an upper-level entertaining area, with wide closed riser steps, leading to the natural travertine patio and pool. The outdoor raised firepit is a nice addition to sitting around those cool nights roasting marshmallows and making S'Mores.

To complete our project was the outdoor lighting design which highlights all of the impressive focal points.
