This remodel took a drab, brown kitchen, and made it bright and fresh. While there are a lot of new finishes here, we also re-finished (painted) the cabinets and refaced/reconfigured the bar area to make as much use of existing cabinets as possible. This made the budget stretch further, allowing for high-impact finishes, like the white soapstone countertops, the custom range hood, and the beautiful beveled glass in the bar area cabinet doors.
This remodel also included a nearby mudroom and a power room adjoining it. We removed a shower from the bath which allowed us to enlarge the mudroom, making that space much more functional and spacious. We got glam with the powder room, making it the most unforgettable room in the house - it gets compliments from guests as the in-person experience is quite impressive (but the space is nearly impossible to photograph for a novice photographer like me!!!)
