Back Bay Flat
The spaces in this Boston residence strike all of the high notes, and doesn’t leave much to be desired. Each room represents its occupants and their youthful, sexy, playful, and polished aesthetic that will stand the test of time.
Showered with sunlight from their large bay-windows in the main living area, natural light fills this home and complements its clean, white palate and finishes, creating a sense of calm and serenity only enhanced by the greenery that frames the room.
The dining room was transformed into a minimalist, modern space with complementary brass chandeliers that juxtapose the graphic Lee Joffa, Kelly Wearstler Graffito Wallpaper. The ivory, gold, and brass tones paired with the geometric lines and spheres evoke an element of glam.
It would only be appropriate for each husband and wife to have separate bathrooms designed to reflect their individual aesthetic, while still creating a cohesive look. One wanted a bathroom that was modern, sexy and masculine, sticking to a palette of matte black and white. Cool, slightly industrial, and bright, this bathroom was completely transformed from an 8’-0” ceiling to an enlarged walk-in shower that was opened up to reveal 12’ ceilings. The black framed mirror is anchored by the shower panel with light grey marble throughout the shower and flooring.
The second bathroom reflects the wife’s modern sophistication, and simple elegance. Pairing a geometric marble mosaic on the floor with a white marble used on the countertop and shower walls provide a beautiful contrast.
In the kitchen, an engineered stone was chosen to withstand wear-and-tear, this Calcutta look-alike graces not only the huge island and back-counter, but was used for the backsplash as well. Matching the veining perfectly provided a modern solution while supporting an edited palette.
