Backyard Resort in Rochester

This beautiful backyard resort started with a blank canvas of a yard that had very little landscaping or lawn areas. The design included a large multi level pool with a large water feature spilling into the upper pool and a vanishing edge water fall from the upper pool into the lower pool. A 90' water slide works its way through the surrounding landscape and splashes into the lower pool. Swim up and have a refreshment at the sunken bar and covered entertaining area of the pool house next to the upper pool that has wireless sound and a hideaway TV. The pool house also has a full changing area with both indoor and outdoor showers including lavatory facilities so you do not have to enter the house.

This project included many challenges that extended beyond just the construction of all the features in the exterior living environment. There is a network of underground utilities which included the running of all new gas, water, and electric lines to operate the new exterior living environment features as well as those needed to service the home including the closure of the homes outdated septic system and connecting the home to public sewage. Not to mention the web of piping required from the pool to the underground pool equipment room that was constructed out of concrete concealed in the hillside behind the water slide. The front porch of the home was rebuilt to make it more functional and to allow for the future construction of a new driveway turn around area. The entire foundation of the house was also exposed so it could be waterproofed and a new french drainage was installed.

Low-voltage lighting was installed to extend the enjoyment of this exterior living environment into the evening hours with the addition of three fire-pots that help spice up the night time entertainment.

So from the outdoor grilling and food serving area to the fire pit, to the sunken bar and entertaining area with wireless speakers and hideaway TV, to the sunken spa, to the 90' long water slide, to the two tiered pool, to the kids pirate ship play area, to the 9 hole miniature golf course surrounded by a 500' long hand crank train set this exterior living environment has something for all to enjoy!
