Bath Township-Transitional Kitchen

A large kitchen, 320 square feet, in a custom home built around 1996. The client's love to cook and entertain, but had inefficient appliances and work flow. A 36" induction cooktop was added for it's performance, ease of use, energy efficiency, and cleanability. The original design had a peninsula that created bad circulation, so we removed it and in turn added a double sided island with extra storage. The clients had contrasting styles of traditional versus contemporary. We chose to do a clean white color palette, but use glass doors on cabinets to display their colored pieces. Due to the simple color palette, we chose to do a coffered ceiling using traditional molding. It reflects the design of the center island and adds dimension, color and texture to the kitchen.
