Bay Head Beach House

Take a traditional shingle-style Bay Head home, add one kitchen of transitional fun, stir lightly with dark wood interior, and serve up airy fun for summers to come.

Just removing one wall of this 1920s seaside home kitchen helped to create the breezy open concept the homeowners sought. Playfully mixing a more transitional style with the more traditional elements adds to the lightness and fun of this kitchen.

Full-overlay frameless wood cabinetry in Benjamin-Moore Sebring White and Shenandoah Taupe with tops in Pental Serra and Silestone Merope brighten the mood. The subway-patterned tile is given a more modern twist by using a glass tile. Reclaimed wood shelves on iron brackets, contemporary stools, and triple pendants made from recycled bud vases all sit astride the beautiful porcelain floor.
