A mediterranean style home originally built in 1930 on a bluff above Lake Erie near Cleveland had been badly remodeled in the 1990's. The addition of many windows and poor waterproofing strategies allowed the brutal weather on the south shore of Lake Erie to take its toll on the structure, rotting the wood beneath windows and destroying much of the new work from the 1990's. A complete overhaul and restoration of the roof and outer building envelope took place and additions were made to both ends of this very unusual, rambling home.
