We completely gutted this small flat with the help of an architect. It is a basement flat extending into a small patio and we used the same light grey floor tiles inside and out. Each space then got a colour to brighten the grey - the kitchen rust red, the bathroom dark green and the bedroom mustard yellow. The reception area used element of all these colours to brighten the space and tie it all together. This was done on a very tight budget and we had fun at the antique markets finding good pieces of furniture to re-upholster.
