This is a kitchen remodel in Historic Denver where we removed a wall between the kitchen and dining room and I redesigned the entire kitchen to integrate into the overall space including reorienting it’s relationship with the previously added family room. Now the space has a totally integrated flow which was one of the most important desires. The large island is the hub of the whole living area and kitchen and we were able to have bar height stools at the end of the island in the family room which is at a lower level. The island features an induction range and prep sink as well as extensive storage. The Medallion cabinets from BKC provide all of the special storage features the clients had hoped for and provide a stunning backdrop for all of the other elements. We built on the concept of angles which present themselves on the bevel of the crackle subway tile, the fun Edison but angled pendants, the pattern in the granite counters and details on the cabinets and molding.
