This project was designed for a couple with a passion for all things French! The use of imported stone from France gave the exterior an immediate sense of age. Stucco and decorative half timbering completed the look. French doors and windows were fabricated in France and include hand-forged iron, full length espagnolette hardware. The leaded glass windows, created in the style of the 18th century, added additional charm and authenticity to the project. A lush cottage garden overflowing with climbing roses, foxgloves, and delphiniums, embraces the home and reinforces the old world ambiance.
The finished project is full of color, antiques, European history and vitality. It is a timeless mix of panache and quiet sophistication that is at once inviting, inspiring and very livable.
