This Wellesley backyard expansion turned a formerly narrow side-yard condition into a functional outdoor living space after the homeowners purchased a portion of the neighboring parcel. The new design features a bluestone terrace, natural stone retaining wall, expanded lawn, layered plantings, and landscape lighting, creating room for outdoor dining, entertaining, and family activities. By reclaiming and reshaping the available space, the project created a beautiful and practical backyard where the family can gather, play soccer, and enjoy a more usable connection between the home, terrace, and lawn.
