This homeowner was a woodworking hobbyist, and he had a real love for beautiful hardwoods. We used a dark stained cherry from Bellmont Cabinet Co. and paired it with acacia wood floors for a rich look. This space was long and narrow which created a layout challenge. The homeowners, builders, and I worked as a team to fit everything thing they needed into this space. It took a lot of design revisions and fine tuning but we were able to squeeze in double appliance garages, a charging station for the kids devices, tons of storage, and an island with a doggy feeding station.
