This major renovation of an existing 4200 sq. ft. two bedroom residence updated a 1937 house that had several, renovations over the course of its life. In order to make the house suitable for its new owner, DAS stripped away the surface ornament dating from the early eighties and used a warm material palette to unify the interior. New basalt floors were installed in the entry and master bath, the existing distressed wood floors were planed, sanded and stained. New amenities including the bar in the living room and the barbecue and patio were added. The existing master bath and closets were gutted and reconfigured to provide his and hers facilities for the new owner.
