A brick and beam open loft space is designed to add a loft-like master bedroom, a new full bathroom and lots of storage space. The "spine" metaphor as a continuous band which organizes various spaces and functions unifies the entire loft space and defines public and private spaces. Within the spine various storage opportunities are found in addition to the massive long term storage space under the master bedroom platform.
