Brick Rambler Remodel and Addition

Starting with a typical, two-bedroom brick rambler, the challenge is to develop a functional, modern home for a young family while minimizing waste.
All the existing brick was preserved and a small rear addition allowed the kitchen to find its perfect spot in a two-story space.
The new steel and white oak staircase leads to the industrial mezzanine and the three bedrooms. The rest of the house preserved the existing layout, including plumbing, though all the finishes and fixtures were updated.
