This house was built in 1988 by a large Ottawa builder. The construction methods were good, but the finishes were original builder quality, 20 years old, and needed updating.

All of the finishes were replaced, including windows and exterior doors, adding skylights to light up the central hall. The owner then hired a designer to help with paint colours and some fixtures, reminiscent of a “coastal” theme, thanks to the original port hole window in the central hall.

Due to the thoughtful planning and careful execution, this home was upgraded to meet 2015 building codes, creating a comfortable and worry-free home. This home sold in 2015 to the first buyers who looked at it, for full asking price, and at 35% more than comparables in the neighbourhood.
