Brookline Shingle and Stone

A new 6,300 square foot home on a narrow, one acre site. Although the lot was narrow but deep, the architect resisted the temptation to design a house that appears sideways. Instead, Meyer & Meyer, Inc. Architecture and Interior created a true front elevation facing the high-profile street. The owners’ request for a powerful front façade drove many design decisions from the selection of the large pudding stone material to the arched passage through the home. A large patio and pool grace the backyard. The home was a cover and feature article in the September/October 2016 issue of New England Home magazine. Landscape by William Pressley Associates, Inc.
