This budget kitchen remodel drew its inspiration from both rustic modern design and french country. The client's directive was to give it an updated look appropriate for a New Mexico home while utilizing the original tile, cabinets, and granite countertops.... and "I must have a turquoise island".

I refinished the cabinets with a two tone gray scheme and rustic finish. The center island received a rustic turquoise finish and custom turquoise cedar wood paneling. The cedar wood paneling was also used to add accent walls, and trim for the upper beams and skylights.

Custom LED ambient lighting with numerous light configurations were added above the cabinetry and in select cabinets where the doors were removed to create open shelving. A new dining room table was added with custom colored reclaimed wood top.

The walls were painted gray and given a custom painted accent French stencil detail. Shelving was added to window area to allow for more plants.
