This kitchen is only 8ft x 8 1/2ft with two doorways and a window! The homeowner loves her cute cape cod home in Dayton but the kitchen was small and didn't function very well. AND she didn't have a dishwasher! What can you do with such a small kitchen! Kelly at TKPinc relocated the refrigerator, added an 18" dishwasher, moved the sink to the corner and for the cooking appliances, split the cooktop and did an undercounter oven. Angled cabinetry was used at the ends towards the doorway to the basement/garage....this allowed a nice walkway and gave her more storage without feeling cramped. Now, the homeowner has plenty of countertop space and no longer has to wash her dishes by hand!
