Quite the dramatic change to our client's L-shape kitchen. While we are always reluctant to close up windows (we love light in a space), an awkward window placement can hinder a great design. We were delighted that our homeowners saw the potential for an improved kitchen layout with the window removed; we were able to 'tick off' all the items on our client's dream kitchen wish list.

This kitchen design is all about the feature wall, starting with a black cafe-style hood and substantial 36" range top. Other elements in the space have a weight to them, including the gorgeous honed quartz countertop and choice of navy blue and walnut custom cabinetry. Hints of black dispersed throughout the kitchen add interest and weight. Don't overlook the importance of carefully staged walnut shelving and especially the stainless steel toe kick, a discreet, but significant detail in this kitchen renovation.
